David W. James, 48, Brazil, died Feb. 14, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 6, 1960, in Vigo County, the son of Kenneth and Helen Kemp James.
He graduated from Terre Haute North High School.
He worked for 14 years as a machine operator for Chesty Foods in Terre Haute and then for 15 years, he worked as a welder for Great Dane Trailers in Brazil.
For the past three months, he worked as a fireman for Brickcraft in Center Point.
He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Northview.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He loved to travel, especially out west and camping was his favorite way to stay on vacation.
Survivors include his loving wife Marilyn Tanner James, his father Kenneth James, Terre Haute, sons Scott James (Juleigh), Brazil, William James, Brazil, Joshua James (Ashley), Seelyville, Justin James (Gwen), Brazil, and Levi James (Bre), Terre Haute, grandchildren Nate James, Brodie James, Jordan James, Taylor James, Collin James, Logan James, Jacey James, Dakota James, Ava James and Cohn James, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Mary Tanner, brother Jonathan James (Connie), Wheatland, sisters Susanna James, Seelyville, and Joanna Cundiff (John), Terre Haute, many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Helen James and brother Rick James.
