Pingleton's season concludes at semi-state

EVANSVILLE -- Northview grappler, Luke Pingleton's season concluded at the Evansville Reitz Semi-State on Saturday afternoon.

Pingleton fell in his opening round match-up to eventual semi-state champion, Tim Martin of New Albany at 125 pounds. The Knights' junior finishes the season with a mark of 31-6 overall.

Terre Haute South will advance P.J. Montgomery from the 145-pound class after a fourth-place finish. Sullivan's 152-pound, Holden Fudurich also moves on with a fourth place. Dakota Case did not advance. The South 125-pounder failed to finish in the top-four overall.

Brown County brothers' Mitchell and Quincy Richey were individual winners at 130 and 135 pounds on Saturday.

The IHSAA State Finals begin on Friday at 6 p.m. and continue on Saturday beginning with the quarterfinals at Conseco Fieldhouse. Tickets are $8 for each session or $20 for both days.
