Taking the pledge

Monday, February 23, 2009

Meridian Elementary third-, fourth- and fifth-graders were excited to take the "ISTEP+ Oath" at a convocation honoring all their hard work to prepare for the upcoming test and those students who received high scores on the English, language arts (ELA) and the math portions. Second-grade teacher Linda Grove led the students in taking the oath Monday afternoon.

Wow....Mrs. Grove is still teaching! She was one of my 6th grade teachers back in the early 1980s. More teachers like her are needed.
