She was born June 10, 1924, in Bowling Green, as the daughter of John and Olive Milligan Clarke. She graduated from Bowling Green High School with the class of 1942. During World War II, she worked in a defense plant in Indianapolis manufacturing bombsights for allied aircraft.
She was a loving homemaker and also operated the Village Square Antique Shop and hand loomed rugs. She married Charles Silvers in 1943, in Piqua, Ohio. He preceded her in death. She married Waldo Clevenger in 1950, who has also preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, sisters Zelma Hostetler, Margaret Fretz and Ramona Knight, and brother Gilbert Clarke.
She is survived by sons John Silvers, Center Point, and Sam Clevenger and wife Penny, Bowling Green, daughter Charlene Hauser, Bowling Green, grandchildren Kevin and Kathy Silvers, Cindy and Steve Bartels, Nancy and Bob Rukes, Drew and Sara Silvers, Kelly and Eric Graves, Clint Hauser, Sandy Clevenger, and Chris and Jessica Clevenger, and great-grandchildren Brady Silvers, S.J. and Alex Bartels, Dan and Brandon Rukes, Emily and Rachel Graves, and Peyton and Kendall Clevenger.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, March 1, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, with Pastor Mindy Huffman officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, at Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green.
