National Able Network will have an application day for seniors 55 or older, March 10, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the YMCA in Brazil, 225 E. Kruzan St.
National Able Network has received funding from Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) to administer training and employment opportunities for Clay County's eligible participants.
The U.S. Department of Labor Title V Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) offers paid training and work experience opportunities for economically disadvantage individuals age 55 or older, while facilitating transitions of job-ready participants into unsubsidized employment in the public and private sectors.
With SCSEP, National Able Network partners with local non-profit and government agencies to promote productive part-time employment in community service activities, while helping to increase skills for the number of persons who may benefit from the paid training exercise.
