He had been a patient at Holly Hill Healthcare for the past one-and-a-half years.
He was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Clay County, as the son of Arthur and Mayme Rogers Moore.
On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Shirley Pope.
He worked as a construction worker and had been employed with the City of Brazil and had also worked as a bridge foreman for the Clay County Highway Department.
He attended area Pentecostal churches.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Rosetta Stewart and Mary Ellen Mishler, granddaughter Triston N. Moore, brothers Harold, Thomas, Jack, William and Eugene Moore, and brother-in-law Harold Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Moore, son Rob Moore, Brazil, brothers Virgil Moore (Ruth), California, and Larry Moore (Linda), Brazil, sisters Agnes Hoggatt (Gerald), Brazil, Jane Decker, Waynestown, Faye Brown (Don), Brazil, Marie Abernathy (Carl), Rosedale, and Jodie Lynch, Brazil, grandson Trace Moore, step-granddaughter Alicia Wycoff, sisters-in-law Betty Moore, RoseAnn Moore, Carolyn Moore and carol Galbert, and many other extended family members.
Graveside funeral services by Moore Funeral Home will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, March 9, at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the cemetery from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.
