Phillip Darrell Cox Arant

Phillip Darrell Cox Arant, 47, Plainfield, formerly of Brazil, died at 8:25 a.m., Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

Born Nov. 9, 1961, in Brazil, he was the son of Wayne Cox and Jean (Porter) Cox.

He married Glenda J. (Moppin), Arant on Aug. 7, 1987.

He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1980 and served in the U.S. Air Force.

He loved his dogs and his guns.

He is survived by his wife Glenda J. (Moppin) Arant, Plainfield, his parents Wayne and Jean Cox, Plainfield, son Phillip "P.J." Arant, Evansville, brother Brad Cox, Danville, sisters Marcie Fielding, Kentucky, Christy Roberts, England, and Cindy Summitt, Oolitic, Ind., several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services will take place Wednesday, at 10 a.m., at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, with Mike Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place at White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, and again from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
