The Northview Winter Guard and North Clay Cadet Corps will receive full treatment Friday at Northview High School when fans present the group with a "good luck send off."
Those interested in attending will be able to show the groups support as it heads into the weekend's Indiana High School Color Guard Association (IHSCGA) Divisional Finals and Winter Guard International (WGI) Regional.
There is no cost to attend Friday's event.
A "guard fellowship" spaghetti dinner will take place. Cost is $5 and $3 for pre-school children, which includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink.
Serving will run from 5:30-6:45 p.m., at the Northview cafeteria.
Following the dinner, five performances will take place, as the Northview Winter Guard, North Clay Cadet Corps, West Vigo Winter Guard, Terre Haute South Winter Guard and Terre Haute North Winter Guard will perform, beginning at 7 p.m.
The North Clay Cadet Corps will perform in the IHSCGA Divisional Finals Saturday, at Center Grove High School.
Admission to the event is $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
Other schools competing include Zionsville, Taylor, Maconaquah, New Castle, Scottsburg, East Side Middle School (Martinsville), Hamilton Southeastern, Greenfield-Central, Avon, Carmel and Warren Central.
The Northview Winter Guard will perform at the WGI contest Saturday, in Indianapolis.
Competition begins at 10 a.m., with Northview scheduled to perform at 8:55 p.m., in the Scholastic World category. Other schools competing in the category include Northmont (Clayton, Ohio), Carmel, Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, N.Y.), Warren Central, Avon, Miamisburg (Miamisburg, Ohio), Centerville (Centerville, Ohio) and Center Grove.
