Northview High School will play host to an edgy play that tackles the "dead serious" issues of teen life.

"Dead Serious ... About Life," a musical performed by the Ohio-based Christian theater group Mishpachah, brings teen issues such as suicide, pregnancy, sex, cutting, drugs and alcohol to the forefront in a confrontational style.

The plot centers around a group of teens who have gathered at a friend's house after their parents have left town.

What ensues is a personalized look into the lives of each character and all the problems they are facing related to the before mentioned issues.

Mishpachah, whose name derives from a Hebrew word meaning "family" or "clan," have been performing "Dead Serious," all over the country since June 1989. Group members were responsible for writing the script.

"Dead Serious ... About Life," is set to be performed tonight, at 6 p.m., and Sunday, March 15, at 2 p.m., in the Northview High School auditorium. Tickets are $9 at the door.
