Lillie "Peachie" Florence Kirton, 62, Brazil, passed away at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, March 14, 2009, at 12:15 a.m., following a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Danville, Ind., Sept. 29, 1946, to Charles and Mable (Mantooth) Thomas. She worked as a dough master and dishwasher at Pizza Hut in Brazil for many years.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 1127, Moose, Eagles and VFW Post 2. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family and yardsaling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leon Thomas and sister Penny Thomas.
Survivors include sons David Kirton, Harry "Butch" Kirton II and wife Vikki, and Michael Kirton, all of Brazil, grandchildren Crystal, Levi, Michael, Dana, Ashton, Corben, Fairren and Kayla, three great-grandchildren, sisters Janice, Dianne and Fay, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
At her request, cremation services have been requested.
Lawson-Miller Chapel and Crematory has been entrusted with her care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her family in her memory.
Memorial services will take place at a later date.
