Terri Gwyn Hoffman, 48, Brazil, died at 8:19 p.m., March 19, 2009, at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, following a battle with cancer.

She was born in Terre Haute, June 20, 1960, as the daughter of Robert and Linda (Chopson) Benson.

Mrs. Hoffman graduated from State High Lab High School and later attended beauty college. She worked as a beautician in Terre Haute for several years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Hoffman Trucking.

In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, sewing, arrowhead hunting and spending time with friends and family and her dog Octane.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister Sheri Leslie and brother Pete Robert Benson, nephew Jeremy Vanatti and great-grandmother and grandfather Chopson.

She is survived by her daughter Marjorie Hoffman, Brazil, stepson Michael Hoffman and wife Victoria, Marietta, Ga., as well as husband Joseph Duregger.

Memorial services for Terri will be at the Seelyville Town Hall Friday, March 27, 2009, from 6-8 p.m.

At her request, cremation has been scheduled. Lawson-Miller Chapel and Crematory has been entrusted with her care.
