The regular meeting of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority was called to order at 7:20 p.m., on March 17, 2009, at the home of Kim Emmert-O'Dell.

The meeting was opened by Chapter President Linda Sheese with Delta Opening Ceremony and Delta Prayer.

The secretary called roll with 21 members present. On a motion by Mary Brown, Bonnie Boor and Janice Modesitt were excused.

The minutes of the February meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer's Report was read, reporting cash available of $2,621.29. Bills presented for payment totaled $23.77. On a motion by Diane Braden, the bills will be paid.

Linda reminded us to write our hours/sales on our tally sheet for Taste Treat and geraniums.

Committees

Taste Treat-Gayla needs money and tickets sold. She passed out the recipe each of us will be making. Keep selling your tickets. You will need to keep your food warm and be there at 9:45 a.m. Bring extension cords, pitchers, dish towels, griddles, and power strips. It is April 25.

Geraniums-Michelle collected totals sheets, May 5 delivery, Lorna and Kathy will help along with Courtney in the afternoon. Diane, Bonnie, Tammy, and Mary will be there in the morning.

March Phil.-Jennifer Jones and Linda Harms will take diapers/wipes to the LEAAP Center and purchase more.

April Phil. - Gayla Thiemann and Melissa McCullough for the Humane Shelter

Budget Committee-Courtney passed out copies, on a motion by Kathy Bridgewater, the report will be approved.

Nominating Committee presented a slate of officers for 2009-10. President-Linda Sheese, VP-Tammy Ninesling, Secretary-Gayla Thiemann, Treasurer-Vangie Sutherland, Corresponding Sec.-Toni Carter, Sergeant at Arms-Kathy Bridgewater, Historian-Pam Miller

Standing Rules Committee presented proposed changes. Kim Emmert O'Dell made a motion to accept the report as presented.

Old Business

Do the canine officer dogs still have bullet proof vests? Linda would like us to consider spending some money on the dogs. Kathy and Jenny will find out that information.

Communications

1.Thank you was read from the Callahan Family-Linda and Dava.
2.Thank you was read from Joanna Connors, NHS, We Wish You Well project. It will be Apr. 1 at 8:45 a.m., in the auditorium.
3.Thank you was read from Terri Shannon, National President, for the donation in her honor.
4.Donation request from Clay County Benevolence Ministry was read.

New Business

1.Convention checking account balance is $1,093.88. Report will be given monthly on this acct. White elephant and no pin money goes in this.
2.Northview Post Prom Committee requests a donation. On a motion by Jenny Ringo, they and Clay City Post Prom will each be given $100.
3.Diane Braden made a motion to donate $250 to CCHS Mission Trip to Mississippi.
4.Ways and Means will report at next meeting. Jennifer Jones and Kathy Bridgewater are on that committee.
5.Clay Co. Well Child Clinic requested a donation. On a motion by Dava Boor, we will donate $300 to sponsor a child.
6.On a motion by Courtney Lash, we will donate $75 to Race for a Cure in honor of Bonnie Boor, Tammy Ninesling, and Diane Braden who are participating on Apr. 18.
7.Diane Braden made a motion to donate $500 to Clay County Benevolence Ministry.
8.Scholarship report at next meeting. Dava has sent forms to NHS and CCHS.
9.Jennifer Jones made a motion to donate $100 to First United Methodist Church for letting us use Traylor Hall for some of our meetings.

Next meeting is April 21 with Courtney Lash and Janine Mullinix on party group.

The meeting was closed with the Delta Closing Ceremony.
