Training on the street

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Brazil City Street Department Supervisor Mike Head (left) watches Josh Backfish pour an emulsion/aggregate mix into a pothole on West Posey Street, just east of South Leavitt Street, during the department's durapatcher refresher course Tuesday morning. Jim Gorrell added the rock mix to the durapatcher as street department employees Brian Bemis and Fred Dowell observed, along with City Council member Bill Lovett. Service Foreman Bryan Parry, of Jack Doheny Supplies, Lawrence, Ind., who also looked on, conducted the training. Jason Jacobs Photo.

This is a good long term way to patch potholes. Personally I am glad to see them out doing this. Keep up the good work.

Like everyone else, these guys are just out doing what their supervisor is telling them to do. If they weren't out filling the potholes everybody would be complaining that they needed to be. As to Freedom, I'm sure they do not intentionally blow this stuff on your car on purpose. Maybe you are driving to closely to them while they are working on the potholes.
