The Brazil Order of the Eastern Star No. 80 will conduct its annual Friends Night Friday.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will take place at the Center Point Masonic Lodge, Center Point.
There will be refreshments after the meeting.

Clay City Elementary School will host its third Spring Carnival and Raffle Friday, from 6-8 p.m.
Games, food and fun will be provided.
Two prize tables will be on hand and the token redemption process has been simplified so choosing prizes will be easier.
Game tickets are 25 cents each or five for $1.
Items for the raffle have been donated by local businesses and members of the community.
Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or six for $5.
Sales of game and raffle tickets will end at 7:30 p.m.
The Clay County Historical Society will meet Monday, at 7 p.m., in the lower level of the museum.
The guest speaker will be society board member and local historian Ken Turner.
He will present the program, "Topics of Historical Note Involving Persons and Places of Clay County."
The public is invited to attend the event.

Paint the Town Purple
The American Cancer Society's 2009 Clay County Relay For Life committee invites local residents to help them "Paint the Town Purple" on Tuesday, April 14, as a way to celebrate survivorship and the upcoming event.
The goal of this year's Relay event is to raise $42,000 during the 12-hour fundraiser scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., on May 8-9, at the Clay County YMCA.

The Brazil Public Library will offer storm spotter training Thursday, April 16.
The event will take place from 6-8 p.m.
The free training event will include interpretation of cloud structure and radar images associated with severe weather.

The Montezuma Covered Bridge Committee will host the third 5K run/walk through two Parke County Bridges Saturday, May 16.
Registration will be at 4338 W 40 N on United States 36, Rockville, located four miles east of Montezuma, beginning at 7 a.m.
The Kids Run/Walk will begin at 7:45 a.m., and the adult Run/Walk will start at 8 a.m.
Awards and medals will be given in different age groups along with participation ribbons.
Registration costs $20 for adults in advance or $22 after April 30.
Children 10 and under will cost $10 in advance or $12 after April 30.

Indiana Works will host a WISE Event at the Vigo County Public Library, Conference Room C on the lower level May 27, from 1-4 p.m.
A WISE Event (Work Incentive Seminar Event) can assist persons receiving Social Security disability benefits who are interested in exploring work options.
