She was born Aug. 1, 1925, in Brazil, as the daughter of Thomas H. and Eliza York Taylor.
She was married to Leroy Andrew Overman Jr. June 17, 1950.
She attended King's Highway Church.
She enjoyed playing the piano and had been an active member of the Kitchen Band, Sunset Kids Band and the Senior Citizens Center of Clay County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy May 14, 2004, and infant son Thomas Andrew Overman, daughter Rosetta Mills, sisters Imogene Taylor, Zelda Yard and Dorothy Taylor and brother Donald Taylor.
She is survived by son Nathan Overman and wife Rita, Brazil, grandsons Andrew Phegley, Brazil, Justin Overman and wife Melissa, Indianapolis, and Elijah Overman, Brazil, great-grandchildren Matthew Phegley, Allison Phegley, Regan Overman and Jensen Overman, three nieces and other extended family.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Sunday, April 5, at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 6, at the funeral home, with Rev. Justin Overman and Pastor Curt White officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
