Brazil Library to kick off National Library Week

National Library Week kicks off April 13-18, and the Brazil Public Library will be taking part.

The following is a list of events going on at the library during the week:

* Monday, April 13 -- "Bells and Beaus for Books." List for all ages. Those interested in attending are asked to wear their favorite hat, scarf, tie or bows into the library and get a picture taken and win a prize. Free punch and cookies will be available,

* Tuesday, April 14 -- "Hang out at the library!" Those interested may come to the library and check out materials and get a set of flocked hangers,

* Wednesday, April 15 -- "Movie Mania." Library patrons in with a valid library card may bring in two non-perishable food items to be given to the Clay County Food Pantry and check out a DVD for free,

* Thursday, April 16 -- "Get wrapped up in a good book at the library!" Check out materials and get a free roll of gift wrap,

* Friday, April 17 -- "Plant seeds of knowledge." Check out materials and get a free hanging planting bag, and

* Saturday, April 18 -- "Amnesty Day." Patrons who have overdue materials not yet returned from anytime in 2009 may return them and not owe fines.
