Computer problems delay Ind. unemployment benefits

Monday, April 6, 2009

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says slower-than-usual computer processing has delayed unemployment benefits.

The department says out-of-work residents will get their benefits posted to their debit cards by 4 p.m. Monday. Agency spokesman Marc Lotter apologized for the delay.

The department is also working to adjust individual accounts that were charged bank or ATM fees because of the delay.
