CLOVERDALE -- Lieber State Recreation Area is teaming up with the Army Corp of Engineers to host a trash cleanup day.
The event will take place around Cagles Mill Lake April 18.
Those interested in joining the employees to promote the program are asked to meet at the Lieber SRA service area at 10 a.m.
Trash bags will be furnished.
The program is designed to promote keeping Cagles Mill Lake clean.
All individuals and groups are welcome to participate in the cleanup of the area.
The program will be canceled if bad weather persists.
In addition, the Friends of Cagles Mill Lake will celebrate Arbor Day with a tree giveaway.
The group will sponsor the event in conjunction with Lieber SRA's fourth trash bash.
The program will run from 10 a.m.-noon, April 18, at the hilltop shelter house.
A limit of six trees per family is suggested.
Flowering dogwood, redbud and tulip trees will be given away while supplies last.
Donations will be welcome.
All proceeds will be used to help with Lieber SRA/Cagles Mill Lake.
