Brenda Sue Floyd, 60, Brazil, died, April 14, 2009, at 7:50 p.m., at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Clay County April 24, 1948, to Ray and Anna (Holley) Ellenburgh. She married Tom Floyd April 19, 1965. They briefly lived in Texas and Florida moving back to Clay County in 1990. She worked as a maid for Howard Johnsons and also for Windbreaker and Hardey's Nursing Home. In her free time, she loved crocheting and reading. She also loved to spend time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children Tommy Floyd Jr. and Lucinda Floyd and brother Ronald Ellenburgh.
Survivors include her husband Tom Floyd, children Ronald Floyd, Carbon, Rose Trackwell and husband Mark, Brazil, Ruben Floyd, Brazil, Chris Floyd, Carbon, Susan Floyd, Indianpolis, Robert Floyd, Brazil, eight grandchildren, sister Rebecca York and husband Paul, Brazil, stepbrother Raymond Snyder and stepsister Helen Wheasler, both of Brazil, cousins Juanita Boyce and Sandra Rubeck, as well as many extended family members.
