Northview's golf team faced off against many of the state's best teams during Saturday's Spring Preview Tournament at The Legends Course, which will host the IHSAA State Finals later this spring.
Third-ranked Indianapolis Cathedral claimed the team championship with a 294 and took the individual championship as well.
Henry Plager shot a 67 for the Trojans to edge past Bloomington North's Ben Dulin's round of 70.
Plager will take his talents to Oklahoma State next season.
The Knights placed 14th out of the 24-team field with a score of 338.
Coach Scott Buell felt that his team played pretty well on a tough course and against a strong field of teams.
"I don't think that we played badly," Buell said. "It was a good experience, there were eight or nine ranked teams there, we were hoping for a top-10, but overall I don't think our score indicated how well we played."
Kade Baker shot a 76 to lead the team and was followed by an 86 from Drew Snyder, an 87 from Ryan Turner, an 89 from Austin Akers and a 90 from Daniel Eaglin.
"Kade had a very solid round, which was about a top-10 score," Buell said. "Austin's score doesn't show it, but he played 14 holes at par and then had four terrible holes.
"It was a long day for us," added Buell. "We were coming off prom the night before and we played a six-and-a-half hour round."
The Knights are scheduled to play a home match against Cloverdale and Shakamak this evening at 5 p.m.
