Parade Forms Online
An entry form for this year's VFW Loyalty Day Parade is now available online.
Visit www.thebraziltimes.com and click on 2009 Loyalty Day Parade Entry Form label under the "Forms" header on the left side of the page to enter and for more information about the event, which will take place Saturday, May 9.
Members of the 2002 Northview High School graduating class may stop by The Brazil Times' office during normal business hours to pick up copies of their senior pictures used to create a special graduation section in the paper.
Relay Team Notice
Any Relay For Life team that needs pictures taken for a special publication, which will appear in The Brazil Times is urged to call The Times' office at 812-446-2216, Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Brazil Times is still accepting information for its Salute to Soldiers.
We are currently looking for more veterans to honor for past service.
To honor soldiers, stop by our office Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Please include a photograph and a brief description of service.

Clay City Elementary recently announced placement request forms for the 2009-10 academic school year are available in the elementary school office.
The forms must be completed according to the directions printed on the form and returned to the office by Friday, May 1, at 3:30 p.m.

In need of junk
The Brazil City Fire Department is still in need of old junk vehicles.
The fire department plans to use the Craig Park parking lot area for training sessions regarding vehicle extrication.

Both Harris Bank locations in Clay County are currently conducting food drives.
The bank will conduct the food drive for the remainder of the year under the theme, "Hunger knows no season."
The bank is asking those interested to donate to the cause and people may do so by dropping off food at the banks or deliver it through the drive-thru.
The banks are open Monday-Thursday, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., as well as Saturday, from 9 a.m.-noon.
The bank will also take money donations.
Historical Society open
The Clay County Historical Society is now open from it's winter closing.
The hours are Monday through Friday 1-4 p.m., and by appointment
for special tours. Call during business hours for more information.
The Clay County Sheriff's Department is currently selling raffle tickets for a Harley Davidson motorcycle to help support the upcoming Indiana Sheriff's Association Scholarship Fund and the ISA Leadership Camp.
Tickets are on sale for $2 each, three for $5, seven for $10 or 15 for $20 to individuals 18 or older. The winning ticket will be drawn during the Indiana State Fair Aug. 23, at the ISF Sheriff's Booth.
Tickets are available during normal business hours at the dispatcher's window at the Clay County Justice Center.
Brazil Mayor Ann Bradshaw recently announced the remaining dates for residents to meet with their respective representatives.
* Wednesday, April 22, 7 p.m., Ward 3 -- Steve Lamb, and
* Thursday, May 7, 6 p.m., Ward 2 -- Sam Glover.
Bradshaw and At-Large council member Pat Heffner will also be available during the meetings, which will be in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
