Two semi trucks collided at the 21 mile marker on Interstate-70 around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, causing portions of it to be closed.
Officials urge local motorists to make alternate travel plans along United States 40 in the Brazil area to avoid heavy traffic from Interstate-70 being temporarily closed. All traffic lights along US 40 are on yellow flashing for east/west traffic with connecting north/south motorists on red flashers. I-70 is closed for an undetermined time to allow clean-up crews to clear debris and spilled motor oil from an early morning accident involving two semi-trucks Tuesday. No life-threatening injuries were apparently reported at the accident scene. A full story will appear in Wednesday's edition of The Brazil Times.
