Parade Forms Online

An entry form for this year's VFW Loyalty Day Parade is now available online. Visit www.thebraziltimes.com and click on 2009 Loyalty Day Parade Entry Form label under the "Forms" header on the left side of the page to enter and for more information about the event, which will take place Saturday, May 9.

Looking for classmates

The Brazil High School Class of 1964 is still seeking class members for its upcoming reunion.

No date has been scheduled for a reunion yet.

Class members are looking for Judy Hadley Sieglin, Larry Myers, Ruby Burton Murphy, Virginia Shaffer McMahan, Virginia Courtney Vance, Linn Alexander, Rhonda Grimes Ames, Carolyn Cox Lamber, John Archer, Jim Hartman, Bill Meyer and Ralph Roloff.

Form notice

Clay City Elementary recently announced placement request forms for the 2009-10 academic school year are available in the elementary school office.

The forms must be completed according to the directions printed on the form and returned to the office by Friday, May 1, at 3:30 p.m.

Big sale

The House of Hope, W. United States 40, Brazil, will conduct a giant yard sale Saturday, along with a fish fry.

A $5 donation will cover a platter. The sale will begin at 8 a.m. and last through the evening. Platters will be served from noon-6 p.m.

All proceeds will go to benefit the needs of the ministry.

Flower and Patio show

The Greene County Master Gardener's organization has scheduled its fifth annual Flower and Patio Show for Saturday and Sunday.

It will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday.

Admission is free and the event will take place at the Greene County Fairgrounds, five miles west of Bloomfield on State Road 54.

Vendors will be on hand and demonstrations will take place.

A plant sale will be conducted while free trees will be a given away and a raffle has been planned.

Fish Fry scheduled

Clay County Habitat for Humanity will sponsor a Jonah Fish Fry Saturday, from 4-8 p.m., at the Brazil National Guard Armory.

Price for adults is $7.50 while children ages 5-10 will be admitted for $5. Children under 5 will be admitted free.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help finance the new home scheduled to be built in Clay City later this year.

Spirit Fair

Blue Moon Gifts, 10 W. National Ave., will conduct a Spirit Fair Saturday, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Discounted readings and Reiki will be offered. In addition, special sales will take place all day.

Garden Club Auction

The Worthington Garden Club will auction a large selection of healthy starts, including Perennials, annuals, herbs, trees, groundcovers, garden décor and more, Saturday, at the Worthington Park Community Building.

The event is set to begin at 10 a.m., and conclude at noon.

There is no charge to attend and free food will be available.

The Garden Club is a non-profit organization.

Due to the potential for rain, the American Cancer Society's Bucket Shake/Roadblock in support of 2009 Relay For Life for Tuesday was postponed.

It has been rescheduled for 10 a.m.-5 p.m., May 4.
