Children at Brazil Head Start, 800 W. Jackson St., took advantage of great weather Wednesday and celebrated Earth Day by planting flowers in front of the building. Class 3 participants who planted flowers in the afternoon included (above, in no particular order) Jayden Guerrero, Haven Kersey, Aisha Cesnick, Kelsey Eder, Felicite Draper, Gracie Tarr, Tailyn Jackson, Donovan Glidden, Clayton Glidden, Desirae Bledsoe, Braylyn Grigsby, Zander Hassler, Tara Pearce, Felecity Nuckols, Reagan Zukokas and Dustin Bryan along with teachers Arlene McAuliffe and Kahleah Lawler. Not pictured are Sebastian Ellison and Colton Covert. Five-year-old Braylyn Grigsby (below) waters a flower she chose to plant in front of the Brazil Head Start building Wednesday as part of Earth Day celebrations. Braylyn is the daughter of Alicia Eder and Greg Grigsby.
