The accident took place at approximately 5:53 a.m. just east of Bowling Green on SR 46 and involved a semi-truck and a vehicle.
According to a press release provided by Clay County Sheriff's Department Dep. Josh Krause, CCSD deputies that arrived at the scene were told by Scott Dickey, 50, Indianapolis, who was driving a 2004 Kenworth Tractor with an empty trailer, that he was traveling east on SR 46. Dickey told authorities a 2007 Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound and crossed left of center into the eastbound lane, colliding with him.
The driver of the other vehicle, Calvin Knox, 20, Bloomington, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. According to reports, Knox was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Dickey suffered minor injuries and was released from the scene without further medical treatment.
The accident caused the closing the SR 46 for nearly three-and-a-half hours and is still under investigation.
Also assisting at the scene were members of the Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department, Center Point Volunteer Fire Department, Poland Volunteer Fire Department, Clay County Search and Rescue and TransCare.

May God be with this young man's family.
This family is in my thoughts & Prayers along with the truck driver.
I really don't think a seat belt would have saved this mans life Semi vs. Jeep, Semi wins every time
Be careful on the roads! or it might be your life
Calvin was my friend and he will be missed.... He was a good kid, and he was always kind to the people he met. He had no judgments about people whether they were for or against what he believed in. He just really liked meeting nice people and he liked being nice to them as well... so simple... so real... learn
