He was born April 7, 1925, in Jackson Township, Clay County, the oldest of seven children born to Raymond Stephen Bussing Sr., and Marjorie Candice Fisher Bussing.
He attended Annunciation B.V.M. Grade School and graduated from Brazil High School, class of 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On April 20, 1968, he and Helen Louise Weaver were united in marriage.
They lived in Greencastle and were members of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Greencastle. Raymond was an Architectural Engineering Instructor for ITT Technical Institute in Indianapolis.
Preceding the deceased in death were his parents Raymond and Marjorie Bussing, brothers Bernard Vincent Bussing and Richard William Bussing, sisters-in-law Patricia Mary Bussing and Judith Ann Bussing, brother-in-law Ray Harold Dome and nephew Kevin Thomas Bussing.
Surviving the deceased are wife Helen Louise Bussing, Greencastle, brothers Thomas Leo Bussing, House Springs, Mo., and David Jon Bussing, Brazil, sisters Joan Patricia Bussing, House Springs, Mo., and Margaret Mary Dome, Wilmington, Ill, sisters-in-law Ruth Jean Bussing, Ft. Myers, Fla., Marilyn Kay Bussing, Brazil, and Veda Elaine Bussing, Brazil, six nieces, three nephews, five great-nieces and 12 great-nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at noon, at Annunciation B.V.M., with Father Michael Fritsch officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 9-11 a.m., at French Funeral Home, with Rosary at 11 a.m.
