According to a press release by the Clay County Sheriff's Department, toxicology tests for alcohol and drugs were performed on both drivers involved in the accident.
According to an accident report, Scott Dickey, 50, Indianapolis, was driving a 2004 Kenworth Tractor with an empty trailer east on SR 46 when Calvin Knox, 20, Bloomington, allegedly crossed left of center into the eastbound lane with his 2007 Jeep Wrangler, colliding with the semi.
Dickey suffered minor injuries and was released from the scene without further medical treatment, while Knox was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to preliminary results, Dickey's tests proved negative for drugs and .00 B.A.C. for alcohol.
Knox also had a .00 B.A.C., however, he tested positive for THC (marijuana) during the autopsy recently performed at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Officials confirm the release of the autopsy results closes the accident investigation.
