Ray E. Strange, 74, Poland, passed away May 7, 2009, at his residence.
He was bon Oct. 8, 1934, in Greencastle, and was the son of the late Fred Oscar and Stella Louise (Gentry) Strange.
He was the founder and minister of the Country Junction Mission and Galilee Church Ministry in Poland.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his daughter Barbara Lowery, Crawfordsville, sister Margaret Killingbeck, Greencastle, brothers Charles Strange, Dalton, Ga., and Paul Strange, Greenville, S.C., five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Strange, and brothers Roy, Donald, and Woodrow Strange.
Graveside services will take place Monday, May 11, 2009, at 1 p.m., at the Cloverdale Cemebery, Cloverdale, with Pastor Tom Tackett officiating.
There will be no visitation.
