The Northview High School band and guard are inviting the public to a spring fundraiser.
"Top it off 2009," will take place at North Clay Middle School, Friday. Serving begins at 7 p.m., with entertainment and an auction scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The performance will include Sousa marches, patriotic favorites and a short trip around the world featuring the traditional Irish folk tune "Danny Boy," "Pictures at an Exhibition," from the Russian composer Mussorsky and perhaps one of the most heard selections to come out of Italy, Rossini's "William Tell Overture."
The Northview Jazz Bands, dance students, percussion ensembles and North Clay Cadet Corps will also perform highlights from recent concerts and café's.
There is more than 75 donated items to be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the band and guard. Items include Northview Marching Knights director for a day, Indy 500 Race tickets, St. Louis Cardinal's tickets, golf packages, custom bicycles, toys, furniture, collectibles and meals. There will also be a New Orleans Shrimp Boil and Rib dinner for four, prepared and served by the members of the Northview Marching Knights staff.
Admission is $5 at the door, which includes four food and drink credits, with extra credits available.
Reserved tables are also available for:
* Table for six and 24 food/drink coupons for $35, and
* Table for eight and 32 food/drink coupons for $45.
