Norma was born April 9, 1921, in Louisville, as the daughter of Edward Charles Piercy and Ines Burton Shepherd Piercy.
Following graduation from high school, she worked as a medical and dental assistant.
She married Dr. Kermit Hibner April 1, 1960, in Danville, Ill.
She was a member of the Evangelical Community Church in Bloomington, Ind.
She was a member of many organizations, including the Medical Auxiliary, Women's Department Club, Bible Study Fellowship, and one of her great joys was being a Sunday school teacher.
Her greatest joy was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a friend to all. Her sincere kindness was one of her greatest assets and she was loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mildren Heady, sons Kermit Hibner II and Kevin Hibner, and grandsons Robby Boyden and Christopher Hibner.
She is survived by her husband Kermit Hibner, daughters Michelle (Fritz) Oehler, Sharon (Johnny) White, Carol Lavender (Hank) Moore, Tina Boyden and Denise (Bryan) Young, sons Richard (Debora) Acord, and Kurt (Laurie) Hibner, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m., at Moore Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Scroggins officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m., to time of services. Placement of her urn at Valhalla Cemetery, Bloomington, Ind., will take place at a later date.
