Here's your weekly reminder that the Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department Jonah Fish Fry is coming up on Saturday June 6, from 3-8 p.m., at Staunton Elementary School. Be sure to mark your calendar to attend this wonderful event.

STAUNTON FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m. Doug Parkey is the minister. The topic of Doug's sermon Sunday morning will be the Prayer of Thanksgiving. If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211; the bus is wheel-chair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building.

The Ladies Tea will be held at 4 p.m., this Sunday. There will be no evening services nor regular Wednesday evening Bible Study. Small-groups studies will continue this week.

Today, the youth of the church will be going to Fun Time Scuba from 6-8 p.m. Younger children must be accompanied by a parent.

If you wish to ride the bus to Golden Corral for lunch on Monday May 18, please meet at the church by 11 a.m.

STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., with Church Service following at 10:30 a.m., David Brown is the Pastor, and his wife Elaine presents the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open the the church's basement on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month, from 3-5 p.m.

The next Food Pantry day will be May 27.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of Staunton First Christian Church and Staunton Elementary School, as well as other churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
