Louise Kelley, 86, Coal City, died May 20, 2009, at 12:30 a.m., at the Owen Valley Health Campus, following an extended illness.
She was born in Owen County Jan. 29, 1923, to Ismael O. and Mary Alice (Staley) White.
She graduated from Patricksburg High School.
She married Earl Troy Kelley.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of the former Pleasant View Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, singing and being out doors.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ismael and Alice White, husband Earl Troy Kelley, sons Calvin R. Kelley and Galen R. Kelley, and sisters Lorene Dubois and Grace Leohr.
Survivors include sons Don Kelley and wife Shirley, Indianapolis, and Robert Kelley and wife Lisa, Spencer, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister Betty Sebastian, Peru, Ind., brother Richard White, Brazil, as well as a large extended family.
Services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 1 p.m., with her son Don Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Owen Community Foundation, Patricksburg High School Scholarship Fund.
