TERRE HAUTE -- Levi Jones became the first driver to win back-to-back "Tony Hulman Classics" at the Terre Haute Action Track on Thursday night.

Jones did so in emphatic fashion, going wire-to-wire in the 30-lap feature to best Bryan Clauson and Jesse Hockett across the finish line.

Jones gained a great starting spot for the A-Main after overcoming Bill Rose in the third heat with one lap remaining. Jon Stanbrough was also a heat winner, but flipped at the start of the feature.

Jones' Tony Stewart Racing teammate, Tracy Hines took a wild ride during his qualifying attempt, flipping in turns three and four. He was forced to bring out his back-up car and attempted to make the feature with a B-Main run that ended in a seventh-place finish. Only the top six in the race advanced to the A-Main.
