David Junior Frost, 67, Clay City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at his residence.
David was born in Monroe, La., Jan. 21, 1942, to the late Lucian David and Elizabeth Frost née Roberts, and grew up in Frost Town, La. In 1959, he joined the U.S. Army.
After serving his country, he moved to North Hollywood, Calif., where he was a machinist for twenty years, was married for fifteen years, and had three children.
In the early 1980's, he moved to Arkansas, where he owned and operated several restaurants.
In the early 1990's, David returned to Louisiana and worked as a cook on offshore drilling rigs. While in Louisiana, he also remarried. After some traveling, he and his late wife, Mary, moved to Indiana. For the past several years, he lived in Clay City, and was a machinist at PDF, Inc., Brazil.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frost née Newman, brother Kenneth, and sisters Mary, Jeanette Moore, and Carolyn Rogers.
He is survived by his son David, Burbank, Calif., daughter Beth (Benny) Caswell, Magnolia, Ark., daughter Jennifer, Burbank, Calif., grandchildren Amanda, Jimmie, and Austin Miller, Magnolia, Ark., sisters Joyce (Fred) Rodriguez, Montgomery, Texas, Debbie (Robert) Bridges, Start, La., and Patsy (James Ronny) Butler, Calhoun, La., brothers Johnny, Shreveport, La., Randy, Bossier, La., Roger, Gardiner, Mont., Ricky and Bruce (Becky) Frost, West Monroe, La., Aunt Erma Lee Russell, West Monroe, La., and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
As per his request, cremation has been scheduled. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, Frost Town, La. His care has been entrusted to Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City.
