New services include high-speed Internet, digital telephone, high definition television and DVR services.
"We're very excited to launch these new advanced services in Brazil," Avenue President and CEO Kay Monigold said. "Our customers in Brazil now have services that are comparable to those in larger cities. These services are being delivered over a state-of-the-art fiber network, which has resulted in much greater stability and reliability.
"Our customers have been quick to embrace both our new high speed Internet service and digital phone service as an alternative to traditional telephone and DSL. We're also very enthusiastic about the response we've been getting to the addition of high definition television and DVR service."
Avenue Broadband Marketing Manager Morgan Foster told The Brazil Times construction for the area system began in January.
"This was something Avenue had planned to do when they acquired the system from Charter Communications," Foster said.
Foster said there was enough demand in the area to move forward with the project.
"We had a very high demand for advanced services in this area, especially high speed Internet," Foster said.
The Brazil service area includes Carbon, Harmony, Knightsville, Seelyville, Staunton and north Terre Haute.
