SPENCER -- The Friends of McCormick's Creek State Park are inviting all to attend its fourth Arts in the Park Festival, June 26-28.
The event showcases regional artists and musicians.
Arts in the Park is made possible in support from the Bloomington Area Arts Council, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Arts in the Park kicks off Friday, June 26, with opening band Creek Dogs, playing at 7 p.m., at the Nature Center Amphitheater. The event continues Saturday, June 27, in the Nature Center Parking lot with an art fair from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and music starting at 11:30 a.m.
Music on June 27 will range from contradancing to bluegrass and includes local musicians Rozlyn and Sawmill Gang, Celtic Myst, Stella and Jane, Jenn Cristy Band and Fortunate Son. June 27 will wrap up with a 7:30 p.m., headliner concert featuring the David Gohn Band.
The event continues Sunday, June 28, with original blues and jazz from Carlyn Lindsey and SnakeDoctor at 11:30 a.m., and Evening Light Gospel Singers at 1:30 p.m.
June 28 will also include instructional workshops featuring dance and woodworking available at a nominal fee.
In-state gate-fees for vehicles will be $5 while out-of-state vehicles will be charged $7.
