Pamela Maureen Batchelor, 50, Brazil, passed away unexpectedly June 2, 2009, at 10 p.m.

She was born Aug. 2, 1958, in Gary, Ind., to Allen and Betty (Shannon) Garnett.

She graduated from Hobart High School. Following high school she began working as a medical transcriptionist. Pam moved to Brazil in 2001, and later married Terry Batchelor in Saline City, July 10, 2005. She worked at Warren Tire as their secretary for several years. She enjoyed playing cards and dice, flower gardening and spending time with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Garnett.

Survivors include her husband Terry Batchelor, Brazil, father Allen Garnett, Lowell, Ind., daughter Amy Dobrowolski, Portage, Ind., and son Todd Dobrowolski, Valparaiso, Ind., two stepsons Jon Batchelor and wife Shannon, Greencastle, and Josh Batchelor, Brazil, stepdaughter Julie Wharton and husband David, Brazil, stepgrandchildren Kirsten, Maddie, Lillie, Blake, Braeden, Laurynn, and Hyleigh, brother Randy Garnett, Benton Harbor, Mich., and sister Lynn Fontenot and husband Roger, Valparaiso, as well as a large extended family.

Funeral services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel and Crematory Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m., until time of services.
