Letter carriers thank all for 'Stamp Out Hunger'

Sunday, June 7, 2009

To the Editor:

Due to the hard times we all face economically, friends and families in this community are suffering tremendously.

Although times are tough on everyone during these tragic times our country faces, we feel it was time to say thank you to those again who sponsored and donated to our Stamp Out Hunger food drive on May 9, 2009.

Together, our community was able to stock our local pantries with more than 2,180 pounds of food this year for emergencies we face daily.

Due to being short-handed this year, we were unable to pick up all sponsors this year.

We'll be sure to get your participation in 2010.

NALC National Food is always the second Saturday in May.

A special thanks to all of you who participated and gave so generously. You are not only our customers, but our friends.

The following is a list of sponsors from this year: Cayton Prep & Painting, Jack's Fine Foods, Page's Food Stores, Kroger, Clover Signs, The Brazil Times, A+ Printing, Main Attraction, Stadler and Co., Inc., Brazil Automotive Supply, Inc., Hoosier Homes and Land, North National Creams and Things, Lynn's Pharmacy, Coughanowr Insurance Agency, Toy's Auto Parts, Auto ER, Kiddie Corner Day Care, Sally's Place, Shelter Insurance (Shawn Wheeler), Linda Ray Insurance and Mortgage, Old Fashion Jewelry Shop, G.
