POLAND -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a church early Tuesday morning in the Poland area.
At 3:07 a.m., members of the Poland Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the Poland Chapel, located on State Road 42, for the blaze.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames were shooting from church windows. However, most of the fire was contained to the inside of the structure.
The Indiana Fire Marshal was contacted to investigate the fire.
The Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene, but was disregarded en route.
