CLAY CITY -- The Clay City Calico Quilters will sponsor their 22nd annual show at the Clay City Pottery Festival Saturday and Sunday.
The show will be set up in the R.E.I.N. Center Community Library, 700 Main St., Clay City.
Show hours are Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The show opens before other festival activities Friday, from 6-8:30 p.m.
Admission is $2.
All quilts are new to the show with the exception of the 2008 Viewer's Choice quilts, which are shown again when they are available.
Viewer's Choice quilts from last year are Log Cabin (by Thelma Tiefel), Periwinkle (by Tessie Cashman), and Vase (by Karen Staub).
The bed quilts will be displayed in full view as well as wall quilts, baby quilts and various quilted items.
Quilts made as a club project for the Council on Domestic Abuse will be shown and later presented to CODA.
Challenge quilts designed by members will make up another exhibit.
Two coordinating fabrics were chosen and members added extra fabric of their choice to create a wide variety of small quilts. These quilts showcase the individual talents and creativity of members.
There will be a door prize drawing as well as instant winners.
The door prices, many are handmade, are provided by individual members.
The club members invite everyone who appreciates and enjoys quilts and quilting to visit the show.
