Area agency receives grant

The Clay County Cooperative Benevolence Ministry received a $1,000 grant from the Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC recently. On hand to accept the grant were (from left) Billy Ed Hostettler, UDWI REMC representative William Sisson, and Clay County Cooperative Benevolence Ministry Board President Michael Hagemeyer.
The Clay County Cooperative Benevolence Ministry recently received a grant from the Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC in the amount of $1,000.

The grant will enable the Benevolence Ministry to continue assistance to working families who have been laid off, hours have been cut, sudden illness or accident and disabled who are on a fixed income, and often over guidelines for any other assistance.

The Clay County Cooperative Benevolence Ministry is a United Way Agency and receives funding by donations from churches, individuals, grants, civic groups and social agencies.
