Band Battle!

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Band members consist of Dave Archer, Mary Jo Archer, Donnie Archer, Marcus Archer, Rick Swearingen, Karen Boes and Eric Vanatti. (Below) Death Partizan bass player Bart Joseph belts out a tune during the band's performance Saturday. P150 earned the most money from the band battle to win the 2009 title. Local band Canopic won last year's title. All money brought in from the contest will go to help fund the Brazil City Police Department K-9 Unit.

I had to go to Walmart on Saturday & I'd forgotten about the bands playing. I arrived when Death Partizan was playing. I don't listen to that type of music, but they were really good as far as the instrumental part, but the singing had a lot to be desired, in my opinion. He sounded more like a bear growling than singing.

What a great variety of music, sorry th1953 didn't get to see Lowdown, they were the baby boomers music. P-150 was fantastic as always! Outlaw Tuners were great fun music, and Jason Wendell was also real good. All the bands were all great and donating their time for such a good cause. I had the pleasure of hearing them all. Some weren't my music choice either but to each their own. Rock on Guys!

I had a ton of fun and enjoyed playing at the event. Kudos to Wal-Mart for hosting this event.

I wish I could have heard all of the bands, but I completely forgot about it.

Congrats to P-150. Thanks to all of the bands that contributed to this cause. I wasn't wanting to offend anyone in the band Death Partizan & if I did, I appologize for that. I just don't listen to that type of music. I'm from the "hippy" era.
