Around 6 p.m., Wednesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a red alert for a suspect believed to be involved in a recent car jacking that reportedly started in Columbus, Ohio.
The suspect, who still had the victim in the vehicle, allegedly left Interstate 70 when the car began to overheat.
The white male suspect was last seen near the Seelyville area.
Apparently, the victim was able to get away from the alleged abductor along Old Fort Harrison Road in North Eastern Vigo County earlier.
Federal authorities, including local law enforcement agencies, are advising residents to be on the lookout for the suspect who was last seen wearing a white V-neck t-shirt, faded blue jeans and brown flip flops.
He is approximately 5-foot, 8-inches tall with dyed black hair combed down over his forehead and is considered armed and dangerous.
