Warming up

Thursday, June 18, 2009

Children attending the YMCA Day Camp run and walk a warm-up lap around the Forest Park walking track Thursday afternoon. Each week, the children participate in a different theme, to end the Amazing Race week (today) they will be enjoying a field trip to McCormick's Creek. Children will be running the trails and actually receive missions they will be required to complete before moving onto the checkpoint. For more information on the Day Camp activities, call the YMCA of Clay County at 442-6761. Kimberly Gleason Photo.

My little girl has been going to the YMCA day camp for 3 years now. She loves it. Instead of sitting at home eating , watching tv, playing vidio games ,She,s having fun playing with other kid. They go swiming everyday, with the group, if they choose to. They have field trips every few weeks. They have a lot of different thing,s to choose from every day to do. From tutoring, computer, games, movies, and sports, etc. I,ts the best thing for a child to enjoy every summer. Thank you, YMCA.
