The following is a list of upcoming weekend events as provided to The Brazil Times:

* Fish Fry!

The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a Fish Fry today.

The event is the fire department's main revenue for the year to keep operations going.

The meal will consist of fried fish, baked beans, cole slaw, green beans or applesauce, tea or coffee.

Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children.

There will be homemade pies and cakes available as well.

A dunking booth and ring toss will also be set up.

The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. There will be two serving lines set up and a drive through line will be set up in the rear of the firehouse.

In addition, a heavyweight horse pull is scheduled and will begin at 8 p.m.

* Star Program

The Allen Memorial Planetarium will present the Summer Seasonal Star program today and Sunday.

There is no charge for the programs, but donations will be accepted.

Today's program will be at 2 and 4 p.m. and Sunday's program will be at 2 p.m.

The 30-minute program will introduce the constellations and other wonders of the sky for the summer season.

The planetarium is located at Terre Haute South High School.

* Journey to Oz!

The area theater troupe Stage Hams will present "The Journey Through Oz," at the Scottish Rite, located at the corner of Ohio and 8th streets, Terre Haute, today at 3 p.m.

"The Journey Through Oz," is an original script based on "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," by Frank Baum, using both classical music and songs from the Broadway musical, "The Wizard of Oz."

Admission is free.

* Antique Tractor show set

"The Hoosier 2-Cylinder Club," an annual antique tractor show and rodeo will take place at Lieber State Recreation Area Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The event will take place at the sports and activity field and Eddie McCullough and Fred Coley will serve as coordinators.

Antique tractors ranging from 1928-61 models will be on display. In addition, local talent will perform a series of events. A parade will also take place.
