Cheryl is the daughter of Thad and Henrietta Justice, Eupora, MS, formerly of Brazil. She is a graduate of Van Buren High School. She received her B.A. degree from Indiana University, her M.A. degree from DePauw University and her M.S. from Indiana State University. She will be employed at Mississippi State University as an associate professor, teaching students pursuing their masters or doctorate degree.

Ms. Arika Marie Bowles, daughter of Jerry and Donna Bowles, Brazil, participated in Huntington University's 111th commencement exercises on May 16, 2009. Ms. Bowles earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Computer Science.

Seth A. Heithaus, Greencastle, has been named to the Grinnell College Dean's List for the spring semester 2009. Heithaus is one of 280 students honored for outstanding academic achievement by Grinnell College.
Heithaus is the child of Dr. Joseph W. Heithaus and Jennifer L. Heithaus.

Vincennes University
The Vincennes University Dean's List for Spring Semester 2009 includes students from the Vincennes campus, Jasper campus, Aviation Technology Center in Indianapolis, military bases, and other extended sites. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must complete at least 12 credit hours and achieve a grade point index of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.

Purdue University awarded 5,792 degrees to students during commencement ceremonies in May.
Of the degrees presented, 4,423 were undergraduate degrees, 795 were master's degrees, 351 were doctoral degrees and 223 were professional candidates. The commencement ceremonies were conducted in Elliott Hall of Music on the West Lafayette campus.
