The following is a list of upcoming events provided to The Brazil Times:

Salute

The Brazil Times is continuing A Salute to Soldiers.

We are currently looking for more veterans to honor for their past service.

To honor any soldiers, stop by our office Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Include a photograph and a brief description of service.

Aquatic Yoga

Aquatic Yoga, also known as "Yoqua," will be the topic of the next free one-hour workshop at Fun Time Scuba and Aquatics, 551 E. National Ave., Brazil.

The workshop will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday.

Those attending may either observe on deck or participate in the pool. No swimming skills are required and hair does not get wet.

The workshop will be taught by Joanna Connors, certified aquatic fitness instructor.

The workshop is open to all adults.

Registration is not required, but will be appreciated.

Bingo

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1127, 303 S. Depot St., Brazil, will have Bingo every Wednesday night.

Early birds starts at 6:30 p.m., with regular Bingo beginning at 7 p.m.

The Bingo Hall is a smoke-free facility and there is no carry in of food or drink allowed.

Game Day

Game Day at the Brazil Public Library will take place at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday.

Play games and win prizes at the library. The event is free to the public.

Breakfast!

The Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department will conduct its monthly breakfast Saturday, from 7-11 a.m.

Biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, pancakes and sausage will be on the menu.

Freewill offerings will be accepted.

Table event

TJ Rescue and Sanctuary Corp., 13445 N. CR 400 W., Brazil, will conduct tabling events at Walmart Saturday.

Animals will be on hand for adoption. In addition, the organization will have raffle items available as well as literature and special handmade assorted sizes of ball jars with dog and cat treats.

The organization will also be collecting cat food and cat litter both days.

Fish Fry!

Celebrating 50 years of service, the Poland Volunteer Fire Department will have an all-you-can-eat Jonah Fish Fry at the firehouse from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, July 18.

Dinner will include fish, choice of two sides and drink for $7 for adults and $3.50 for children.

There will also be a slide show of the department's past 50 years. In addition, AirEvac will be there and door prizes will be handed out. A 50/50 drawing will take place along with raffles, local yard sales and live entertainment by Matt Hicks.

The firehouse is located at 3940 Bowling Green-Poland Road, off State Road 42.

Booth spaces are available.

Scrapbooking event

All scrapbookers are welcome to the Crop and Swap at the Brazil Public Library at 6 p.m., July 18.

Cost is $5. Those interested in attending must pre-register and pre-pay.

Educational service

"Last Will and Testimony" will take place at the Vigo County Public Library, 1 Liberty Square, Terre Haute, from 9 a.m.-noon, July 21, and July 28.

The event will take place in classrooms A and C.

Refreshments will be provided and participants will receive a certificate following the two-day event.

Training

St. Vincent Clay Hospital will offer a student athletic workshop Thursday, July 23, and Friday, July 24, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The two-day athletic training workshop is for students entering grades 9-12.

More Bingo

Exceptional Living Center of Brazil -- formerly Holly Hill Nursing Center -- is inviting local community senior citizens to its facility for Bingo on Tuesdays.

A Bingo event will take place at the location, 501 S. Murphy Ave., Brazil, at 2:15 p.m., July 28.

Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

Prizes will also be awarded.

'Colts City'

The Indianapolis Colts will host "Colts City" again this year at its annual training camp at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The Colts will officially kick off training camp at Rose-Hulman, Monday, Aug. 3, with team practices from 8:30-10:30 a.m., and 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Camp will conclude Tuesday, Aug. 18.
