Tri County Community Club

The Tri County Community Club was held at the Poland Park on June 17, with a pitch-in luncheon. It was a beautiful day and we thanked the Lord for our weather. Wilma gave the blessing for the delicious meal.

Our afternoon business meeting was opened by our President Rhonda, with the club repeating the Pledge of Allegiance. The surprise package was won by Alma. There wasn't a door prize, because we did not have a hostess for this meeting.

Devotions were read by Lucy, "Irishman's first ballgame." Juanita read "Hot to find a mate," and Rhonda read, "A little senior humor," and "Senior aches and pains." How true.

Roll call was answered by 16 members and three guests, Carolyn Kaiser, Shelly Blythe and Linzee Smith. Welcome girls. We answered our roll call telling how many phones we owned, and we were all surprised at how many we had.

The secretary's report was given by Diana, and approved.

The treasurer's report was given by Kay, and approved.

The card report, by Lucy, was given, with 30 cards being sent for the month.

The hospital report was given by Juanita and approved.

We want to congratulate Gaylord and Florence Nees on their 70th wedding anniversary. May you have many, many more.

Here's a little hint, put mouth wash in a spray bottle and spray your children. It will keep the bugs off of them. Listerine is a good choice.

Birthday gifts for the month went to Gerry Cundiff and Lucy Strauch. Happy Birthday girls.

The meeting was closed with repeating the Lord's Prayer.

The social hour was spent playing bingo, with Donna Rubeck winning coverall.

Our next meeting will be at the Zion Church shelter house, with Linda Rushton on July 15.
