Washington Township Circle Club
The Washington Township Circle Club met on June 14, at 12:30 p.m., at Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle.
Wilma Rich, a member, was a patient there and we were asked to come for lunch, in one of the private dining rooms. A delicious meal was served to us.
At 1 p.m., Doris opened the meeting.
The Pledge of Allegiance and club creed was repeated in unison.
Lucy Spelbring gave devotions "From Inside Out," from 2nd Corinthians.
Roll call was answered by seven members telling a wedding story. We sang, "Grand Old Flag."
Secretary and treasurer's reports were given and approved. Collections were taken.
Linda's citizenship lesson was on "Laughter."
Doris conducted our business meeting.
The council meeting report, was that we will entertain Ever welcome Club next year.
Achievement night program was June 30, at 6:30 p.m., at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.
On Aug. 25, the Fall district meeting will be at McCormick's Creek park.
We had our yearly birthday party and gifts were exchanged.
We were are so glad to see Wilma doing so well and we had a good visit.
The next meeting will be at Doris Romas' home on July 9, at noon. Bring a covered dish. Lucy and Rosalind will give the lesson, "Balance and mobility in adults." We will complete our club books for 2009-10. Brenda will give devotions.
