He was born in Clay County, the son of Victor Snow and V. June Miller Snow. He graduated from Brazil High School. He worked as a welder for Great Dane for 31 years, retiring Oct. 3, 2007, due to health reasons.
Steve was a life member of North American Hunting Club and Quails Unlimited. He was a coon hunter and a deer hunter. He enjoyed woodworking and making wood crafts for family and friends. He also enjoyed camping at Racoon Lake and spending time at Trade Days at Croy's Creek.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Neville Snow, whom he married June 23, 2001, his father Victor Snow, children Christy Pickett (Chris), Staunton, Jamie Head (Chad), Brazil, Renee Frazier (Clay), Brownsburg, Jana Grigsby (fiancÚ Nathan McKinney), Brazil, Steven Snow and Jason Ray (Stephanie), one sister Bonnie Bunch (Danny), Rosedale, nine grandchildren C.D.Pickett, Tori Pickett, Danielle Head, Dillan Head, Kylee Frazier, Ciarra Grigsby, Chloe Grigsby, Kirsten Grigsby and Hannah Ray, nieces, nephews, extended family and special loved ones Terri Harlan, Betty, Jeff and Ashley Clark, Shelly Hutchison and Doug Coltharp.
He was preceded in death by his mother June Snow.
Services will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at French Funeral Home, with Pastor John O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 4-8 p.m., and again Saturday prior to services. Pallbearers will include Jeff Clark, Shelly Hutchison, Doug Coltharp, Mike Bunch, Robert Neville and Donald Neville. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family to help with medical expenses.
